Save and Export Sequences

A sequence can be saved, in the form of a .seq file, or exported, in the form of a .txt file containing tab-separated values (sequences in the latter format can be opened and edited using a spreadsheet application). A sequence can also be converted into an equivalent set of SCPI commands, and saved in a text file.

Note: An EXT sequence file (with the filename extension ".seq") is unrelated to a waveform sequence file (which has the same extension). The latter type of file is a composite waveform file, which can be loaded into the ARB memory of the source in the EXT test set. See the Waveform parameter in the source sequence parameter table for more information.

Saving a Sequence

Select Save or Save As... on the File menu, or click the file-save icon on the toolbar.

This brings up a window which you can use to navigate to the folder where you want to save the .seq sequence file.

Exporting a Sequence

Select Export Sequence... on the File menu.

This brings up a window which you can use to navigate to the folder where you want to save the .txt sequence file.

Converting a Sequence to SCPI Commands

Select Save Sequence SCPI... on the File menu, or click the generate-SCPI icon on the toolbar.

This opens a SCPI Previe window, showing the SCPI command equivalent of the current Analyzer and Source sequences (that is, sending these commands, in order, to the test set would be equivalent in effect to pressing Download Analyzer Seq and Download Source Seq). Click the Save As button in the window to save the SCPI commands to a text file, or the Close button to exit the preview window without saving its content.
