LTE-A TDD/FDD versus LTE TDD/FDD

LTE-Advanced TDD/FDD Transmit ON/OFF measurement inherits all the functionality of the same measurement of LTE TDD/FDD. And LTE-Advanced TDD/FDD supports Transmit ON/OFF measurement in the intra-band contiguous aggregation mode.

The Bandwidth of the signal being measured for the transmitter OFF power is different on X-Series Signal Analyzers with Option B25 and B40 or wider.

On X-Series Signal Analyzers with Option B25, the Bandwidth of the signal being measured for the transmitter OFF power for BS and UE is defined below:

Channel Bandwidth

Bandwidth measured

>=1.4 MHz  and <= 1.5 MHz

1.5 MHz

> 1.5MHz  and <= 3.0 MHz

3.0 MHz

> 3.0 MHz  and <= 4.0 MHz

4.0 MHz

> 4.0 MHz  and <= 5.0 MHz

5.0 MHz

> 5.0 MHz  and <= 6.0 MHz

6.0 MHz

> 6.0 MHz  and <= 8.0 MHz

8.0 MHz

> 8.0 MHz  and <= 10.0 MHz

10.0 MHz

> 10.0 MHz

25.0 MHz

On X-Series Signal Analyzers with Option B40 or wider Bandwidth option, the Bandwidth of the signal being measured for the transmitter OFF power for BS is defined below:

BS Channel Bandwidth (single carrier)

BS Bandwidth measured

1.4 MHz ( 6 RB)

1.095 MHz

3.0 MHz ( 15 RB)

2.715 MHz

5.0 MHz ( 25 RB)

4.515 MHz

10.0 MHz (50 RB)

9.015 MHz

15.0 MHz (75 RB)

13.515 MHz

20.0 MHz (100 RB)

18.015 MHz

BS Channel Bandwidth (multi-carriers)

BS Bandwidth measured

< Bandwidth Option Bxx

(for example, B40=40 MHz)

BWChannel_CA

>= Bandwidth Option Bxx

(for example, B40=40 MHz)

Maximum bandwidth supported

(For example, 40MHz)

On X-Series Signal Analyzers with Option B40 or wider, the Bandwidth of the signal being measured for the transmitter OFF power for UE is defined below,  and it is measured on per component carrier.
