Utilities Menu

Reset - is used to reset the soft front panel to its default settings.

Errors... - is used to display reported errors.

• To view the error log

1. Select Utilities > Errors.

2. Select Get Instrument Errors. All errors are displayed in the Errors dialog window.

• To clear the error log

1. Close the Errors dialog window.

2. Re-open the Errors dialog window by selecting Utilities> Errors. This clears the errors and refreshes the Errors dialog window.

Self Test... - is used to run an instrument or module self test.

• To run self test on an instrument or module

1. Select Utilities > Self Test.

2. All self test errors are displayed in the Self Test Results window.

3. If the unit passes its Self Test, "Self Test passed" is displayed.

• After selft test, module is reset and the master power switch is turned off.

• To check the module temperature

1. After selftest execution, open the C:\ProgramData\Keysight\M9379A\M9379A_{serial number}_SelfTestLog.txt

2. Module temperature is shown at "MeasuredValue" in the line of ParameterName "SwitchPath_Temp"

• Turn on the master power switch again as necessary as it is turned off after the selftest.

• To clear the self test results window

1. Close the Self Test dialog window.

2. Re-open it by selecting Utilities > Self Test.

3. Checking the module temperature

• To save self test results

1. Use Save As... to save the results of your Self Test as a text (.txt) file in a folder of your choice. If multiple files are saved in the same folder, the latest file will be at the bottom of the stack.

Firmware Update... - is used to update firmware on modules.

• To Update the Firmware in a Module

1. Select a version of firmware for each module using the drop-down arrow.

2. Select Update to install available Firmware Updates.
