Filter Mask

To view this function, Crest Factor Reduction must be enabled.

Enter a string to set the filter mask to define a filter response in the frequency domain, separated by semicolon for each comma-separated frequency point/amplitude pair. When generating this filter mask, the frequency points between the specified points are linearly interpolated. When the carrier number or carrier frequency offset in the waveform is changed, this table will be automatically updated. You may need to adjust the mask manually to fit the actual signal bandwidth.

Routing

Group and Signal settings determine where the specific antenna’s 5G waveform is played. Each antenna has its own group and signal settings. The maximum count of antennas is 8. When only one waveform is generated with Total Number of Antennas set to 1, the waveform file name will have a _G#S# suffix (Closedview image), based on the routing configuration, so you can specify different group/signal configurations to generate and playback the waveform.

Note that the following corner cases do not work ideally:

Case 1 for multiple antennas/waveforms configuration (i.e. Total Number of Antennas is > 1): If you route the same antenna’s waveform to a different signal of same group, the waveform played is not the latest generated one, but the first-generated waveform file because firmware does not support uploading waveform with same name multiple times in the group.

Case 2 for multiple antennas/waveforms configuration: If you route a different antenna’s waveform to same signal and same group, the waveform of antenna with biggest cardinality will be played. For example, if antenna 0 is routed to group 1 + signal 1, and antenna 1 is also routed to group 1 + signal 1, waveform of antenna 1 will be played.

Case 3: If you route waveform to a non-existing group and signal, no error will be prompted. But waveform will be played on the group with biggest suffix. For example, if you route waveform to group 4 + signal 7 while group 4 does not exist and current group count is 2, then 5G waveform will be played on group 2 + signal 7 (with 8-signals feature) or group 2 + signal 1 (without 8-signals feature).

SCPI Example

RAD:NR5G:WAV:ROUT:GRO 2

RAD:NR5G:WAV:ROUT:GRO?

Couplings

How many routings can be defined is coupled with Total Number of Antennas. It means when Total Number of Antennas is 1, only one routing can be defined.

If Total Number of Antennas is changed, Group will be coupled the cardinality of routing/Antenna + 1. For example, if Group is set to 2 of antenna 0, and then set Total Number of Antennas to 2, Group of antenna 0 will be coupled to 1 and Group of antenna 1 will be coupled to 2 automatically.

Graph View

The graph view displays three different representations of the generated waveform: ClosedIQ, ClosedSpectrum, and ClosedCCDF.

Changes to the waveform configuration do not update the graph until you generate the waveform.

IQ

Provides three different plots for viewing the I and Q waveforms: Power, I Plus Q, and I And Q

Spectrum

Displays the waveform spectrum (power vs. frequency).

CCDF

The CCDF graph displays the probability (in percentage) that the generated waveform's calculated peak-to-average power ratio (measured in dB) is greater than or equal to a specified level. The table to the left of the CCDF plot displays the calculated peak-to-average values for the current waveform.

Reference - Select to view the reference curve.

Acquire Reference - Sets the current waveform curve as the reference curve.

Burst and Waveform toggle between the two settings

Burst - Calculates the CCDF curve based on the generated I/Q waveform, excluding the off power period.

Waveform - Calculates the CCDF curve based on entire generated I/Q waveform.
