The bottom area of the multi-touch display contains the Notifications Area. You can interact with any of these information fields with a click or tap to open its associated user-interface screen.

The GPIB/Remote annunciators are shown as the letters KRLT and S. Each letter is bright if the state is true and is dim if the state is false, as follows:
K: Keylock indicator. This is shown when the instrument is in the keylock state (turned on and off by the SYST:KLOCk command).
R: Remote annunciator. Shown when the instrument is in the remote state, as when being controlled via the IEEE-488 bus (GPIB) or TCP/IP connections.
L: GPIB Listen annunciator. Shown when addressed to listen via GPIB orTCP/IP.
T: GPIB Talk annunciator. Shown when addressed to talk via GPIB or TCP/IP.
S: GPIB SRQ annunciator. Shown when the instrument is asserting SRQ on GPIB.

The Frequency Reference indicator provides visual indication of the source of the reference; Internal or External. Refer to Reference.
This field reports the current synchronization status. Refer to Global Trigger / Synchronization.
This field displays the instrument's clock, including the date and time. Refer to Instrument Information.
The message line contains Errors, Warnings, and Informational messages pertaining to the current condition and settings of the instrument. Items displayed in the message line are also placed in the message queue.

The message queue displays the history of Errors, Warnings, and Informational messages. New messages, occurring since the last time you opened the queue, are displayed in bright text. Previous messages appear in dim text. You can set to either show or hide each of the categories of messages. Clear removes all messages from the queue. You can also enable timestamps for messages.
