This topic describes the parameters of the I/Q In block.
For instruments with Option EXT, the following settings allow you to adjust the External I/Q inputs.
Specifies a DC offset in volts for a signal applied to the external I+/- input ports.
This is used to specify the total differential voltage applied to the external I input port. The Offset Voltage offsets the signal applied to the external I input port by the value of this voltage. This is accomplished by adding half of the Offset Voltage to the signal applied to the external I+ input port and subtracting half of the Offset Voltage from the signal applied to the external I- input port. For example, if the desired I Offset Voltage is 0.05 volts, then 0.025 volts is added to the signal applied to the external I+ input port and 0.025 volts is subtracted from the signal applied to the external I- input port.

Adjusts the phase angle (quadrature skew) between the I and Q vectors by increasing or decreasing the Q phase angle.
Positive skew increases the angle from 90 degrees while negative skew decreases the angle from 90 degrees. When the quadrature skew is zero, the phase angle between the I and Q vectors is 90 degrees.
