General Settings (Signal Capture)

Signal Capture Settings

Signal Capture Sample Rate

Range: 1kSa/s to 200 MSa/s
Default Value: 100 MSa/s

Displays and sets the rate at which input signal samples are captured in ARB memory. Signals are saved to ARB memory in real time. They are then copied to a hard disk location after capturing to ARB memory. Changing this setting affects the Signal Capture Duration setting.

Waveform File

Displays and sets the file to be used for storage of the captured waveform data. The PXB's D:\ drive space is reserved for user data. You must specify a waveform file with a valid path for the PXB to determine the amount of available storage space.

The data in the specified waveform file will be overwritten with each subsequent capture. Specify a new file name if you want to save the data in a previous signal capture.

Signal Capture Depth

Range: 256 to 536870912 (512 MSa)
Default Value: 1000 Sa

Displays and sets the number of signal samples to capture. Signal capture depth is limited by the amount of available disk space on the drive specified in the Waveform File setting. Changing this setting affects the Signal Capture Duration setting.

Signal Capture Duration

Range: 256 ms to 536.8709100 ks
Default Value: 10.000 µs

Displays and sets the length of time of a signal capture session. This setting is linked to Signal Capture Sample Rate and Signal Capture Depth, and therefore is limited by the amount of available disk space on the drive specified in the Waveform File setting. Changing this setting affects the Signal Capture Depth setting.

Signal Setup

Enable VSA 89601

Choices: On, Off
Default Value: Off

Displays and determines whether the PXB routes the captured sample data to the Agilent 89601 VSA software for analysis (if installed). When set to On, the PXB launches the 89601 VSA software and configures it to accept the captured waveform data upon completion of the signal capture session.
