LTE Base Station / Mobile Station (MIMO)

The LTE channel model and associated path delay profiles are specified in the 3GPP TS 36.101 V8.3.0 (2008-09).The multipath fading is modeled as a tapped-delay line with 9 taps (7 for EPA) with non-uniform delays. For each tap, the method of filtered noise is used to generate a matrix of time-varying channel coefficients with the correct distribution and spectral power density. The Classical Doppler spectrum and Rayleigh amplitude distributions are used.

Fading Profile

Select the delay profile to apply to the fading simulation. For each delay profile, you can select either low, medium or high doppler/vehicle speed.

Doppler/Vehicle Speed Selection

Selects the Doppler frequency and vehicle speed to use for the selected channel model.

Low Doppler

Doppler frequency of 5 Hz; vehicle speed of 5.4 km/h

Medium Doppler

Doppler frequency of 70 Hz; vehicle speed of 75.6 km/h

High Doppler

Doppler frequency of 300 Hz; vehicle speed of 324 km/h
