The LXI Standard (LAN eXtensions for Instruments) is an open, accessible standard that identifies module-to-module communication, drivers, instrument web interface, and ethernet protocol for test and measurement instruments that conform to the standard.
The PXB MIMO Tester Receiver is an LXI-C compliant instrument as defined
by the LXI Consortium Standard, Revision 1.2. Click System
> Product Information in the
menu bar of the PXB to view the supported LXI-C information.
The PXB provides a web interface to access HTML web pages that allow you to view and configure LXI and LAN data for the instrument as specified by the LXI standard.
Using a web browser, enter the URL: http:// <PXB's instrument name or IP address>. The graphic below shows the web address using the instrument name.
The browser displays the Welcome
page
for the PXB with the navigation bar on the left.

The Welcome page provides information such as the hostname, model name, serial number, TCP/IP port, and GPIB address of your instrument. |

View & Modify Configuration displays a web page that allows you to modify some of the instrument’s network settings. |
Welcome Page
When "Turn on Front Panel Identification Indicator" is activated, the LXI indicator on the PXB blinks green and white to indicate that a discovery operation is in effect, which makes it easier to identify the instrument among a rack full of devices.
View & Modify Configuration
The View & Modify button
accesses a web page
that displays the LAN information for the instrument as currently connected.
Modify Configuration
When you click the Modify
Configuration button at the top of the web page,
a password entry
dialog box appears to control access to the settings. The default web
password is: agilent.
After
successful password entry, a web page
is displayed where you can manually enter all the LAN configuration items
as specified in the LXI standard.
To change the Web password, use the password controls at the bottom of the web page.
Browser Compatibility
The Web Server service is compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer (6.0 or later) web browser and operating systems Windows 2000, Windows XP, and later.
