I/O (Input or Output) Commands

These commands apply to either input or output depending on the currently loaded configuration. The PXB supports the EXA, MXA, PXA signal analyzers, or N5102A Digital Signal Module, or 8960 for digital input. Digital I/Q can be output to the N5102A Digital Signal Module, MXG, or ESG. The PXB outputs analog I/Q to any DUT or RF vector signal generator with analog I/Q inputs.

Numerical Choice:

IO[1]2|3|4|5|6|7|8|5|6|7|8 – Refer to the block diagram for your configuration to determine the input or output block that you want to enable.

:CONTrol:IO[1]|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|5|6|7|8:ANALog:ENABle?

This command enables the analog ports for data output. Analog I/Q data can be output to any DUT or RF vector signal generator with analog I/Q inputs. An analog instrument is not currently supported for the analog I/Q input to the PXB. This setting is run-time adjustable while the waveform is playing.

:CONTrol:IO[1]|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|5|6|7|8:DIGital:ENABle?

This command enables the digital I/O bus for data input or output depending on the selected configuration. The digital bus can output data to a DSIM, MXG, or ESG-C. The MXG is supported for digital input. This setting is runtime adjustable while the waveform is playing.

:CONTrol:IO[1]|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|5|6|7|8:DIRection?

This query returns the direction, input or output, according to the current hardware configuration setup.

:CONTrol:IO[1]|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|5|6|7|8:MODE?

This query returns the mode, analog or digital, according to the current hardware configuration setup.
