Front Panel Keys Do Not Work

Downloading the signal configuration places the signal generator in remote operation mode, which deactivates the front panel operation. On the signal generator, press the Local key to restore front panel operation.

DAC Overflow Error

The number of frames and some baseband filter selections (such as NONE) can result in a high crest factor, causing digital to analog converter (DAC) overflow. Reducing the runtime scaling value to 50 percent or less may correct the problem.

Code Conflicts

Channel code conflicts appear the software message area on the status bar and in the status window. Use the information in the Note section of the status window and the channel summary table to help resolve any spreading code or other conflicts.

Connection Failure

If an error message is displayed, after clicking Test I/O Connection, the instrument connection via LAN or GPIB may not be properly enabled. Verify that all equipment is properly connected and that any LAN or GPIB interface has been correctly installed and configured. (Refer to Keysight IO Libraries.)

Access Denied

In order to install and run the N7601B software in a Windows operating environment, the software requires that appropriate security permission settings are enabled. If access is denied, refer to User Permissions for the required security permission settings.

N7601B Documented Class Library for API Help Problems

Many of the links in the N7601B Documentation Class Library API help require the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET integrated development environment (IDE) to work. Without this development environment, some links appear broken. After you obtain and download the IDE, the links will work. See API Help for more information.
