Using the System Configuration Wizard
From the menu bar, clickand selectfrom the drop-down menu that appears. A sequence of windows steps you through configuring the hardware
for your application and saving the setup for later use.
In each window:

Click to continue
the configuration.

Click to return
to the previous window.

Click to dismiss the System Configuration dialog box, making
no changes to the current system configuration.
Step 1- Select a hardware configuration.
Choose a supported hardware configuration from the
displayed list.
Step 2- Select a specific
hardware system.
You can either configure
a new system or select a previously saved hardware configuration:
Choose to
configure a new system.
- Enter the connection information for one
of the following:

Select LAN and enter the Hostname or
IP address as appropriate.

Select GPIB and enter the GPIB information if different
from the default settings displayed. Refer to the signal generator's user
manual to retrieve this information from the signal generator, if necessary.
Click to verify the connection

The software
tests the I/O connection and confirms a Pass or Fail status for the connected
hardware. (You can also click the button in Step 3 to confirm the connection.)

If
PASS is displayed, click to
begin using this setup.

If
the connection fails, click
to return to Step 2. Click the
button for details
of the hardware system used. Ensure that the instrument is properly connected,
and that you have entered the correct information for your connection
type.
- Enter a name of your choice
for the system and click
to begin using this setup.
Select a previously saved hardware system configuration
from the list displayed.
The software tests the I/O connection
and confirms a Pass or Fail status for the connected hardware.

PASS is displayed, click to
begin using this setup.

If
the connection fails, click
to return to Step 2. Click the
button for details
of the hardware system used. Ensure that the instrument is properly connected,
and that you have entered the correct information for your connection
