Timing Adjustment

Parameters

Marker 1, Marker 3, Marker 4

Choices: Start | Pulse per second | Pulse per millisecond

Default: Marker 1--Start, Marker 3--Pulse per second, Marker 4--Pulse per millisecond

Select the signal pattern for the marker output. The marker output signal is mapped to a rear panel connector on the signal generator.

On an ESG:

On an EXG/MXG, all three marker signals are available at the rear panel AUX IO connector, or use the front panel to route two of the marker signals to the following rear panel connectors (one signal per connector):

To access the rear panel connector routing selections from the front panel, use the following hardkey and softkeys: Mode > Real-Time Applications > Real-Time Apps System Settings > Route to Baseband BNCs.

For more information on the signal generator rear-panel connectors and marker output signals, see the signal generator's User Guide.

Timing Adjustment

Range: …–1 ms to 1 ms (resolution of 15 ns)

Default: 0 ns

Enter an offset value to apply dynamic timing adjustment to Start and Pulse per second markers. A positive value means timing delay and a negative value means timing advance. Hardware supported timing adjustment resolution is 8 ns.
