This block is to specify the parameters to control the power level at the PA input port and output port.
1. General | 2. Power Control | 3. Power Sweep |
---|---|---|
Range: -100 to 250 dBm
Default: 0 dBm
Set the maximum power level for the PA input. This parameter is used to protect PA from damage. The maximum power level of the RF Signal Generator is (PA Input Power Limit + Loss In), correspondingly.
Range: 0 to 100 dB
Default: 0 dB
Set the path loss between the RF Signal Generator and the PA.
Range: 0 to 100 dB
Default: 0 dB
Set the path loss between the PA and the Signal Analyzer.
Range: 0 to 100 dB
Default: 20 dB
Set the gain of the PA.
Choice: PA Input | PA Output
Default: PA Input
Specify the exact place that the power settings refer to.
Range: -100 to 250 dBm
Default: -10 dBm
Coupling: Visible only when the Power Mode is set to PA Input and the Input Power value will be clipped by the PA Input Power Limit setting.
Set the PA input power level when the Power Sweep State is set to Off.
Range: -100 to 250 dBm
Default: -10 dBm
Coupling: Visible only when the Power Mode is set to PA Output and the Output Power value will be clipped by the PA Input Power Limit and PA Gain settings.
Set the PA output power level when the Power Sweep State is set to Off.
Choice: On | Off
Default: Off
Coupling: Visible only when the Power Mode is set to PA Output.
Enable or disable the power servo. If it is set to on, Power Servo will be performed to obtain an accurate PA output power.
Power Servo is a loop, in which the PA output power is measured with the Signal Analyzer and then the PA input power is adjusted accordingly. By such iteration, the PA output power gradually converges to the target power within the limit of Power Tolerance.
Range: 0.01 to 3 dB
Default: 1 dB
Coupling: Visible only when the Power Servo is set to On.
Set the accuracy of PA output power. The result PA output power should be within the range of (target power ± Power Tolerance).
Choice: On | Off
Default: Off
Set whether to use fast power function in signal analyzer to measure channel power. When the value is set to on, N7614C Signal Studio for Power Amplifier Test 2022 will try to use fast power function if it is available.
For a signal analyzer to support fast power, it requires:
N9020A MXA or N9030A PXA with firmware version equal to or above 14.0.
FP2 and B40 options in the signal analyzer.
waveform bandwidth smaller than 40 MHz.
Enable or disable the power sweep. In real-time configuration, power sweep is not supported so this setting is grayed out and set to Off.
Range: -100 to 250 dBm
Default: 0 dBm
Coupling: Available only when Power Sweep State is set to On.
Set the upper limit of power sweep.
Range: -100 to 250 dBm
Default: -20 dBm
Coupling: Available only when Power Sweep State is set to On.
Set the lower limit of power sweep.
Range: -50 to 50 dB
Default: -20 dB
Coupling: Available only when Power Sweep State is set to On.
Set the amount of power increment for power sweep.
Range: -100 to 250 dBm
Default: -20 dBm
Coupling: Available only when Power Sweep State is set to On.
Set the minimum power level for DPD. For power above this value, DPD will be applied.
Choice: On | Off
Default: Off
Coupling: Available only when the Power Sweep State is On, the Digital Predistortion block is On, and DPD Mode in the Digital Predistortion block is set to Extract and Apply.
Specify whether the DPD model extraction is performed just at the first power level or all power levels above Min Power with DPD setting.
