3. DCD Settings

In this version of Signal Studio for Mobile WiMAX, DCD and UCD are transferred in different bursts from DL-MAP and UL-MAP, so they have their own burst allocations. The properties of these burst settings are exactly the same as those in a normal downlink burst.

Include DCD Message

Choices: On, Off

Select the use of DCD Message MAC PDU in the DL-MAP burst.

DCD CID

Range: 0 to FFFF

Set the Connection IdentifierCID for the Downlink Channel DescriptorDCD in hex. This parameter is shared with Uplink Channel DescriptorUCD CID and is configurable when Include DCD Message is On and Auto DL-MAP is Normal.

DIUC Generation Type

Use the drop-down menu or double-click to automatically generate the Downlink Interval Usage CodeDIUC table or not.

• Auto -the DIUC table is automatically generated based on all burst types used in the downlink.

• Manual - the DIUC table is specified by the user.

DIUC 0 through DIUC 12

Use the drop-down menu or double-click to specify the mapping table of the DIUC. This is configurable when Auto DL-MAP is either Normal or Compressed, and DIUC Generation Type is Manual.

• CC - data is randomized, encoded using convolutional coding, and interleaved according to the standard specifications.

• CTC - data is randomized, encoded using convolutional turbo coding, and interleaved according to the standard specifications.
