In 802.11ac, support for 20, 40, and 80 MHz channels is mandatory, Optional support for contiguous 160 MHz and non-contiguous 80+80 MHz transmission and reception. Tone allocation same as two 80 MHz channels.
The current specification frame work document provides channel allocation for US and for Europe, Japan and global operating classes. China does not support this band, but the draft will include support for China in the 5.725 to 5.850 GHz range. (Note: Global operating classes are used for operation anywhere in the world and are used in addition to the operating classes for a specific region.)
