Installing the License in an M8190A Arbitrary Waveform Generator

Before installing the license file, save a backup copy in a safe place.

Using Keysight License Manager

The Keysight License Manager (KLM) must be running on the PC that is physically connected to the M8190A AWG. This PC may be an embedded AXIe controller or a PC connected to the M8190A AWG over PCIe. The PC must have the M8190A firmware running on it.

  1. If you do not have KLM installed on the PC connected to the M8190A, you can download it at no charge from the following website: http://www.keysight.com/find/licensemanager.

  2. Copy the license file to the PC. The license file has a .lic extension, and is attached to the email message you received when you redeemed your license.

  3. Use the KLM software to install the license file. Refer to the KLM help for specific instructions.
