Keysight 16 bits Source File Type

ESG/PSG Option 001, 002, 601, 602 16 bit internal format

The E4438C, E8267C and E8267D internal files are stored as a single file with alternating I and Q samples. Sample points are stored as 16-bit integers (2 bytes per sample). The I or Q waveform is encoded into the full 16 bits.

Big Endian

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select Yes if the binary data is in Big Endian format, otherwise select No.

Waveform data obtained from an ESG, PSG, MXG, or PXB is in Big Endian format.

Data Source File

Enter the path to the source file you want to import, or select the Source File field, then use the Browse button to open a dialog window, then navigate to the desired file.

Use Markers

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to enable or disable the use of a marker array file.

Marker Source File

Enter the path to the Marker Source File you want to import, or select the Marker Source File field, then use the Browse button to open a dialog window, then navigate to the desired file.

Set Use Markers to Yes to enable this parameter.

Markers may be imported from a separate file, if desired. The marker file format is 1 byte per I/Q sample pair. If there are 1000 samples in the waveform, the marker file must contain 1000 bytes. The 4 least significant bits in the byte contain Markers 1-4, with the least significant bit containing Marker 1.

Number of Markers

Displays the number of markers for this format. (Read-only)

Number of Points

Displays the number of points defined by the data files in the selected waveform. (Read-only)
