1. PLP Settings

LDPC Frame Length

Choice: Normal | Short

Default: Normal

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select normal LDPC block size or short LDPC block size for DVB-T2.

LDPC Code Rate

Choice: 1/2 | 3/5 | 2/3 | 3/4 |4/5 | 5/6

Default: 2/3 for PLP 1 and 3/5 for PLP 2 through PLP 16

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select the LDPC code rate for DVB-T2.

FEC Block Number

Range: minimum is 0, maximum determined by various settings

Default: 29 for PLP 1, 32 for PLP 2, and 1 for PLP 3 through PLP 16

Set the FEC block number in a T2 frame.

The maximum range is determined by the values set for FFT Size, Carrier Mode, Data Symbol Number, Pilot Pattern, L1 Modulation Type, Modulation Type, and LDPC Frame Length.

Modulation Type

Choice: QPSK | 16QAM | 64QAM | 256QAM

Default: 256 QAM for PLP1, 16 QAM for PLP2, and 256 QAM for PLP 3 through PLP 16

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select the modulation type.

Constellation Rotation

Choice: On| Off

Default: On

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to enable or disable constellation rotation.

Number of Time Interleaving Blocks per Interleaving Frame

Range: 0 to FEC Block Number

Default: 3 for PLP 1 and PLP 2, 1 for PLP 3 through PLP 16

Set the number of time interleaving blocks per interleaving frame. The value “0” means no time interleaving is applied.

Time Interleaving Type

Default: TYPE 0

Displays the time interleaving type. Currently only TYPE 0 is supported.

IF Number Per T2 Frame

Default: 1

Displays the IF number per T2 frame. Currently only 1 IF per T2 frame is supported.

PLP Cell Number

Default: 234900 for PLP 1, 518400 for PLP 2, and 8100 for PLP 3 through PLP 16

Displays the PLP Number in one frame.

PLP ID

Range: 0 to 255

Default: 0 for PLP 1, 1 for PLP 2, 2 for PLP 3, ... 15 for PLP 16

Set the PLP ID for this PLP.

Group ID

Range: 0 to 255

Default: 0

Set the PLP Group ID for this PLP.

Data Source Type

Choice: Demo File | TS File | Null TS Packet | Pattern | PN9 | PN15 | PN23

Default: Demo File for PLP 1 and NULL TS Packet for PLP 2 through PLP 16

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select which type to use as the data source.

File Location

Choice: Local| Instrument

Default: Local

Couplings: Displayed only when the Data Source Type is TS File.

Use "Local" as the File Location and note that "Instrument" is not supported in PXB.

File Name

Couplings: Displayed only when the Data Source Type is TS File.

Click on the right side of the cell to browse your computer and select the TS file.

Sync Insert

Choice: NULL Packet Header (0x471FFF10) | SYNC Byte(0x47) | None

Default: SYNC byte (0x47)

Couplings: Displayed only when the Data Source Type is Pattern, PN9, PN15, or PN23.

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to insert a SYNC byte (0x47) or a NULL packet header(0x471FFF10) into the test pattern.

Pattern Bits

Couplings: Displayed only when the Data Source Type is Pattern.

Enter the data bits to use in a test pattern.

Useful Bit Rate

Couplings: Displayed only when the Data Source Type is Demo File or TS File.

Displays the useful bit rate for the current settings.

Stream Bit Rate

Couplings: Displayed only when the Data Source Type is Demo File or TS File.

Displays the stream bit rate for the current TS file.
