DCI#n/PDCCH Transmission Configuration Window (Advanced LTE FDD Downlink)

Select a DCI channel in the Channel Setup node, then click the button in the transmission configurations for DCI #n (DL-SCHn Control), DCI #9 (UL Scheduling), DCI #10 (RA Initiation), DCI #11 (UL Power Control) Transmission , or DCI#12 cells to open the DCI#n/PDCCH Transmission Configuration window. You can also access this window through the DL-SCHn channel's DCI #n (DL-SCHn Control) Transmission Configuration parameter.

The DCI#n/PDCCH window displays the transmission configuration defined in the Channel Setup node for the selected DCI channel.

You can make adjustments to the TPC PUCCH, Data type, Search Space (common or UE specific), and Aggregation Level for each DL-SCH transmission from within the DL-SCH Tx sequence window.

The settings configured in the Channel Setup node and the DL-SCH Tx sequence window are displayed in the Tx Map.

Use the Import tab to navigate to and import a saved transmission sequence.

Use the Export tab to save the current transmission sequence to a file.

Click the Column Preset button to access a drop-down list that enables you to set parameters for all transmissions to the same value.

DCI#n/PDCCH Tx sequence window

Frame

Displays the radio frame number.

Subframe

Displays the subframe number (0 to 9) in radio frame.

State

Choice: On | Off

Default: Off

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to turn the subframe state on or off.

Where the data is set to Auto-Configured Bits, this parameter is read only and automatically defined by corresponding DL-SCH. Otherwise this is settable by the user.

Format

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to enable the DCI Format.

Where RNTI = 65535 (SI-RNTI) and Data = Auto-Configured Bits, this parameter is selectable for DCI formats1A or 1C by user.

Where Data is not set to Auto-Configured Bits, this parameter is not active.

Otherwise this parameter is automatically defined by corresponding DL-SCH.

For more details, refer to 3GPP TS 36.213.

TPC PUCCH

Use the drop-down menu to select the UE's accumulative Tx Power Control (TPC) PUCCH power step.

Data

Choice: PN9 | PN15 | Auto-Configured Bits | User Defined Bits

Default: Auto-Configured Bits

Use the Data Source Selection dialog box to select ‘PN9’, ‘PN15’, ‘Auto-Configured Bits’ or ‘User Defined Bits’ to use for the DCI data contents.

Where Auto-Configured Bits, displays Auto, DCI data contents contains corresponding DL-SCH data and the state is not settable. Otherwise DCI data contents are indicated sequence with data size and the state is settable.

Data Size

Range: 1 to 100

Enter the payload data size (bits) for DCI.

Where the data is set to Auto-Configured Bits, this parameter is read only and automatically defined by corresponding DL-SCH. Otherwise this is settable.

For more details, refer to 3GPP TS 36.212.

RNTI

Range: 1 to 65535

Where Data is set to Auto-Configured Bits, this parameter is read only and automatically defined by corresponding DL-SCH. Otherwise this is settable.

Search Space

Choice: Common | UE Specific

Default: UE Specific

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to set the search space auto-assignment of the PDCCH channels.

Where RNTI = 65535 (SI-RNTI) and Data = Auto-Configured Bits, this cell is set to Common and is a read only parameter. Otherwise this cell is settable.

Agg Level

Choice: 1 | 2 | 4 | 8

Default: 1

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select the aggregation level for the DCI.

For more details, refer to 3GPP TS 36.211 and 36.213.

Candidate

Choice: 1 | 2 | 4 | 8

Default: 1

Enter the DCI candidate number for the DCI.

When Search Space Auto-Assignment is enabled, this parameter is read only and automatically assigned from unused lower number.

Otherwise this parameter is assigned manually by user.

The range depends on other settings as follows.

For more details, refer to 3GPP TS 36.211 and 36.213.

CCE Offset

Displays the CCE Offset which is automatically calculated by other parameters.

For more details, refer to 3GPP TS 36.213.
