Channel Coding of Control Information without UL-SCH Data

When control data is sent on the PUSCH/UCI without UL-SCH data, the coding process: channel coding of control information, control information mapping and channel interleaving can be identified. The fundamental change is the number of bits used to transmit the control information. The following is an example procedure for setting the relevant parameters for an Advanced LTE TDD Uplink carrier.

  1. In the tree view, click Uplink and set the State to On.

  2. In the Channel Setup window:

    1. Highlight UL-SCH to view the associated parameters.

    2. Set the Transmission Setting Mode to Manual.

  3. Click Transmission Configuration to open the UL-SCH TX sequence window.

  4. In the UL-SCH TX sequence window:

    1. Set the Block Size to 0.

    2. Set HARQ-ACK, RI, and CQI/PMI parameters as required.
