Uplink Power Control PDCCH Tx Setting and Config (Advanced LTE-A and Advanced LTE TDD Downlink)

Select the DCI channel in the Channel Setup node, then click the button in the DCI #11 for Uplink Power Control cell to open the Uplink Power Control PDCCH Tx Setting window.

The Uplink Power Control PDCCH Tx Setting window displays the parameters setting of PDCCH transmitted in each subframe for the selected Uplink Power Control PDCCH channel in the Channel Setup.

1. DCI Settings

DCI State

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to control the operating state of DCI channel.

DCI Format

Choice: Format 3 | Format 3A

Default: Format 3

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to set the format of the DCI.

DCI format 3 is used for the transmission of the TPC commands for PUCCH and PUSCH with 2-bits power adjustments.

DCI format 3A is used for the transmission of the TPC commands for PUCCH and PUSCH with 1 bit power adjustments.

DCI Data

Display the Data Source of the DCI channel. The data for DCI is auto generated using the TPC bits content in each subframe.

DCI Payload Size (bits)

Display the payload size in bits. Refer to the 3GPP TS 36.212 5.3.3.1 DCI formats for more information.

RNTI

Range: 1 to 65535

Default: 1

Enter a value for the Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI).

PDCCH UE Tx Antenna

Choice: UE Port 0 | UE Port 1

Default: UE Port 0

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to set the UE Tx Antenna for the DCI channel.

Search Space

Choice: Common | UE Specific

Default: Common

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to set the search space of the PDCCH channels.

PDCCH Tx Parameter Settings

State

Choice: Off | On

Default: On

Click to turn the DCI state on or off in the selected subframe.

TPC Bits

Choice: System bandwidth dependent

Default: ”00000000000000000000000000”

Set TPC command bits of the transmission in the selected subframe.

DCI format 3 is used for the transmission of the TPC commands for PUCCH and PUSCH with 2-bits power adjustments.

DCI format 3A is used for the transmission of the TPC commands for PUCCH and PUSCH with 1 bit power adjustments.

The following information is transmitted by the means of the uplink power control DCI formats:

     TPC command number 1,  TPC command number 2, ... ,  TPC command number n

Agg Level

Choice: 1 | 2 | 4 | 8

Default: 1

Select the Aggregation level for the DCI searching space in the selected subframe.

Candidate

Choice: 0

Default: 0 to maximum

Set the candidate within the searching space in the selected subframe.

CCE Offset

Display the CCE offset of the DCI in the selected subframe.
