1. General Settings

Channel Bandwidth

Choice: Two 2.16 GHz Channel Bonding|Single 2.16 GHz Channel

Default: Two 2.16 GHz Channel Bonding

Get or Set the bandwidth of EDMG PPDU, which could be Single 2.16GHz Channel, or Two 2.16 GHz Channel Bonding.

Header Scale Factor

Range: 0.01 - 1.0

Default: 0.7784

Get or Set the scale factor of Header.

Idle Interval

Default: 0

Get or Set the idle interval between frames in unit of sec.

Preamble On

Choice: On|Off

Default: On

Enable or Disable the Preamble part.

Payload On

Enable or Disable the Payload part.

PSDU Length

Coupling: This parameter is always read-only.The value is determined by the Data Length and FCS Length of the PSDU.

Get the total number of bytes in a PSDU, which is comprised of MSDU and MAC FCS.

Scrambler Initialization

Range: 0 - 127

Default: 127

Set the initialization state of the scrambler in decimal format, which is then turned into 7 bits to feed into the scrambler.

Additional PPDU

Choices: On|Off

Default: Off

Get or Set the Additional PPDU bit, to generate an Additional PPDU packet, set this bit in the first packet segment, and then add a second segment which has Preamble On set to False and Interpacket Gap set to 0.

Packet Type

Choices: TRN-R |TRN-T

Default: TRN-R

Sets the training packet type in the header of all packets in the segment. The choices are TRN-R and TRN-T.

Training Length

Default: 0

Gets or Set the number of pattern repetitions and therefore the length of the training field. If the value is zero, no Beamforming Training Field is appended to the packet.

Beam Tracking

Choices: On|Off

Default: Off

Get or Set the state of the Beam Tracking Request bit in the header of all packets in the segment.

Beam Tracking Type

Choices: Analog | Baseband

Default: Analog

Sets the state of the Beam Tracking Request Type bit in the header of all packets in the segment.

Turnaround

Choices: On|Off

Default: Off

Get or Set the state of the Turnaround bit in the header of all packets in the segment.

Guard Interval

Choices: Short | Normal | Long

Default: Normal

Get or Set the Guard Interval duration of EDMG Data Field, which could be short (32*NCB chips), normal (64*NCB chips), long (128*NCB chips). NCB is number of 2.16GHz channel.

Control Trailer

Choices: On|Off

Default: Off

Indicate the presence of Control Trailer bit in the header of all packets in the segment.

3. Payload Configuration

PSDU

Data Type

Use this cell to select the payload data source. The user data of the frame can contain the following data:

User file

The user file must be in text format. The least significant bit (LSB) of the first byte in the user data file will be the first bit of the user payload; the LSB of the second byte in the user file will be the ninth bit of the user payload, and so on. If User File is selected as the Data Type, the value displayed in the Data Length field will be equal to the length (or size) of the user's data file, up to the maximum data length. Because this is a text file, each character (1 or 0) occupies one byte of space, however, is read as one bit of user data.

PN9 Seed

Range: 0 to 511

Default: 511

Specify a seed in decimal format to generate a PN9 data sequence. The LSB of the seed comes out first. For example, if you enter a seed value of 10 (1010 in binary), the first 9 bits of the PN9 sequence are 0 1 0 1 0 0 0 0 0, with an increasing index from left to right. For more information, see PN Sequence Generation.

PN15 Seed

Range: 0 to 32767

Default: 32767

Specify a seed in decimal format to generate a PN15 data sequence. The LSB of the seed comes out first. Data Length

Use this cell to set the number of data bytes in a frame.

User File

Click the button in this cell to select a user file as the data source.

The user file must be in text format. User File Length

Indicates the user file length (or size) in bytes. For example, if the user file consists of 1111111011011100, where each character (1 or 0) represents a bit, the file size will be 16 bytes because each character actually occupies one byte of space in a text file. The software, however, reads this data as individual bits, eight at a time from MSB to LSB, repeating it until the number of bytes read equals the set Data Length. If you set the Data Length to 16 bytes, the user data in this example would repeat eight times. See below:

Select the filter type to be applied to Header of Signal Carrier(SC) modulated packets.

Alpha

Set the Alpha factor of the Root Nyquist or Nyquist filter.

Length (symbol)

Range: 1 - 2048

Default: 40

Set the length of the filter in symbols.

Payload Shaping Filter
