After installing Test Case Manager and its license, the software may start in demo mode (demo dialog box appears after the splash screen). While in demo mode, clicking the Execute button, trying to view the SCPI Log Viewer, or attempting to save or open a file causes the
Warning: License dialog box to show
Cause: Test Case Manager software has not recognized the license.
Solution: Perform the following process:
Leave the Test Case Manager software running for a minute.
Close the Test Case Manager software.
Restart the Test Case Manager software—the demo dialog box should not appear.
If the problem persists, contact Keysight Technologies.
When a "Restricted User" tries to run the Test Case Manager application without the correct security permissions, an unhandled exception error message indicates that access is denied.
Cause: The user permissions are not correctly set.
Solution: The administrator must set the correct user permissions in the Test Case Manager installation folder. See the instructions in User Permissions.
After clicking license
error message appears.
Cause: This function is not available with the trial license.
Solution: After the software evaluation is completed, contact Keysight Technologies to purchase a Test Case Manager software license.
After clicking
in the Signal Generator node, "Disconnected" remains.Cause: VISA address entered incorrectly, or the LAN or GPIB instrument connection may not be properly enabled.
Solution:
Verify that all equipment is properly connected and that the LAN or GPIB
interface is correctly installed and configured. (See Keysight IO Libraries.) Ensure
that the GPIB
or LAN
information that you entered in the VISA Address cell matches
the instrument and interface you are using. Verify that all colons (used in both TCPIP (LAN) and GPIB connections) are present in the completed VISA address. See Interface Problems for more troubleshooting
