Multi-module Phase Calibration (M980xA, M983xA)

In the multi-module configuration, the phase is not corrected between modules. This tool allows you to correct the phase between modules. This calibration must be executed when you use the Deskew and Descew/Loss compensation calibrations in TDR measurement.

Using a mouse

  1. Press Macro > Macro1 > MM Phase Cal

  1. Click Utility

  2. Select Macro

  3. Select MM Phase Cal

Note: The cables must be shorter than 90 cm.

Measure: Execute the calibration for the corresponding connections. The checkbox in Done is checked after the calibration.

Measure All: Execute the calibration for all connection at once.

Restore Default: Clear the current phase calibration data. If you take a phase calibration again, the previous data should be cleared by this button.

 

Connection Example

Connect a cable between the first port of a module and the last port of the next module.
