This function is available on M98xxA and P50xxA/B.
The Source Power Alignment is a tool to improve the power level linearity. The analyzer has a source step attenuator (6 dB step from 0 dB to 90 dB [Up tp 20 GHz] or 5 dB step from 0 to 90 dB [above 20 GHz] attenuation ) for the power output level control. The power linearity may become worse at the point where the step attenuator setting is changed although it is within the specification. After executing this source power alignment, the linearity will be improved.
Note: System > System Setup > Remote Interface > Hislip must be enabled before the execution. The hislip address must be set at 0.
Note: When the macro button is not available, execute “C:\\Program Files\Keysight\Network Analyzer\Service\sourcepoweralignement.exe”
Source Power Alignment dialog box help |
Alignment Power Range: select the power range you will use. Wider range will take longer time for execution. If you do not measure at lower level, selecting -40 dBm or -50 dBm to +20 dBm (M980xA) / +30 dBm (M983xA) reduces the execution time. Target Module Selection: select the required module Alignment Status: show the current status. Alignment On enables/disables the alignment data you took. VISA address: display the VISA address for hislip. Take Alignment Sweep: Start the source power alignment. The measurement display would not be updated. A progress bar will show you the progress of task. The firmware restart is required at the end of task. |
Three jumper RF cables on the front panel must be connected. (M9837A, M9834A-270)
The lower power level is limited depending on the frequency.
