Initialization Error upon Starting a Utility
Problem:
When you attempt to start Connection Expert or another IO Libraries Suite utility, an initialization error or other failure is displayed.
Probable Cause:
This may be caused by the removal of components that are needed by the IO Libraries Suite.
For Windows users, this may also happen if the Windows services provided with the Keysight IO Libraries Suite are not running.
Suggested Steps:
- Start or restart the Keysight I/O services as described in Starting or Restarting Keysight I/O Services.

If the problem persists, Windows users may attempt a Repair or Modify operation in Windows for the Keysight IO Libraries Suite. In Windows, this is located under Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features > Keysight IO Libraries Suite (version number) > Change > Repair. In Windows 10, go to Start > Add or Remove Programs > Keysight IO Libraries Suite (version number) > Modify. This will reinstall all components that were originally installed by the Keysight IO Libraries Suite.
- If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall IO Libraries Suite per the instructions in the ReadMe (IO Control > Documentation > IO Libraries ReadMe).
