Missing Serial Device

This section contains information that applies to Windows and Linux, not Windows on ARM.

Problem:

A device connected via serial (RS-232) port is not recognized by Connection Expert.

Probable Cause:

Connection Expert does not automatically detect serial devices. You must add these devices manually.

Suggested Steps:

1. Make sure your devices are physically connected and turned on.
   
   
2. Run Connection Expert. and add Serial instrument on ASRLn. (You will have options corresponding to the serial ports available on your system; for example, ASRL3 for COM3.)
