Test Connection for Interfaces

When you test connection for an interface, the system will attempt to connect to the specified instrument and then display the state of the connection.
To test a connection on an interface:

• Navigate to the Instruments Group View.
• Click on the interface for which you want to test the connection.
  A blue background highlight of a row indicates selection.
• Use any of the following ways to test the connection:
  • Click the vertical ellipsis menu next to the interface's name and select Edit.
    A side panel will appear in an edit mode.
  • Alternatively, click Interface Properties on the action button toolbar.
    A side panel appears. Click Edit.
• Click Test Connection.
  The connection status will appear next to the Test Connection button. The state of the connection is typically Verified or Failed. If the connection fails, the failure details may also be displayed.
