IEC61000-4-17
This ripple immunity test aim to test the immunity of an electric or electronic device against the ripple on its DC input power port.
Test Setup
Set the following test conditions before starting a test. Depending on the Test, some settings are fixed and you cannot change them.
Immunity Test | Select the rectifier circuit. For Custom Test, select this setting under Test Item in the Test List panel. 1P Rectifier – Single-phase rectifier 3P Rectifier – Three-phase rectifier |
EUT Test | The Equipment Under Test (EUT) class determines the test levels used. The test levels are a peak-to-peak voltage expressed as a percentage of the nominal DC
voltage. For Custom Test, perform this setting under Level (%) in the table of the Test Steps panel. Test Level 1 – 2 % of the nominal DC voltage Test Level 2 – 5 % of the nominal DC voltage Test Level 3 – 10 % of the nominal DC voltage Test Level 4 – 15 % of the nominal DC voltage |
Udc (V) | Set the rated voltage of the EUT. For Custom Test, perform this setting under Udc (V) in the table of the Test Steps panel. The voltage range for immunity tests are: AC – 0.0 to 322.0 V DC – 0.0 to 455.0 V In some cases, the test is unsuccessful due to the output voltage exceeded the output voltage range of the instrument. You may need to adjust the UN, Udc, UT, U1, Delta, and/or Level settings and run the test again. |
Freq (Hz) | Set the frequency multiplier and rated frequency of the EUT. |
Repeat | Set the number of repetitions of the sequence (1 to 999). |
Status | Display results upon completion of the sequence. |
TriggerOut | Select the check box to enable the trigger signal output. When enabled, the corresponding arrow in the Test Steps diagram will change to red. |

Ripple on 1P and 3P Rectifier Circuits
Set the following test parameters for a sequence. For Standard Test, the test parameters are fixed and you cannot change them.
Udc (V) | Set the rated voltage of the EUT. |
Duration (s) | Set the step execution time in seconds (1.000 to 86,400.000 s). |
Level (%) | Set the ripple peak-to-peak value as a percentage of the nominal DC voltage (of the fundamental wave) (0.0 to 20.0 %). |
Interval (s) | Set the interval from the end of the duration to the start of the next duration. The last interval is the transition time to the next sequence (0.0 to 86,400.0 s). |
