IEC61000-4-28

This variation of power frequency immunity test aim to test the immunity of an electric or electronic device against variations of power frequencies.

Test Setup

Set the following test conditions before starting a test. Depending on the Test, some settings are fixed and you cannot change them.

EUT Test The Equipment Under Test (EUT) class determines the test levels used.
For Custom Test, perform this setting under Frequency Variation, Df/f1 (%) under Test List panel.
Test Level 2 – 3 % of the frequency variation with 10 seconds of transitional period
Test Level 3 – +4 or -6 % of the frequency variation with 10 seconds of transitional period
Test Level 4 – ±15 % of the frequency variation with 1 second of transitional period
UT (Phase)(V) Set the rated voltage of the EUT. For Custom Test, perform this setting under Udc (V) in the table of the Test Steps panel.
The voltage range for immunity tests are:
AC – 0.0 to 322.0 V
DC – 0.0 to 455.0 V
In some cases, the test is unsuccessful due to the output voltage exceeded the output voltage range of the instrument. You may need to adjust the UN, Udc, UT, U1, Delta, and/or Level settings and run the test again.
Frequency Variation, Df/f1 (%) Set the frequency variation ratio (-50.0% to 50.0%).

Repeat Set the number of repetitions of the sequence (1 to 999).
Status Display results upon completion of the sequence.
TriggerOut Select the check box to enable the trigger signal output. When enabled, the corresponding arrow in the Test Steps diagram will change to red.

Variation of power frequency

Set the following test parameters for a sequence. For Standard Test, the test parameters are fixed and you cannot change them.

Frequency, fn (Hz) Set the power supply frequency of the EUT (50 Hz, 60 Hz). You can set up to 2 different frequencies in a test sequence.
Frequency [fn] duration (s) Set the duration of frequency (0.001 to 86,400.000 s).
Transition time, tpn (s) Set the transition time (0.001 to 86,400.000 s).
Frequency Variation, Df/f1 (%) Set the frequency variation ratio (-50.0 to 50.0 %).

Duration of frequency change (s) Set the duration of frequency change (0.001 to 86,400.000 s).
