Modulating Shape
Select the modulating waveform shape for the current modulation type. The default is Sine.
The number of outputs and the parameter choices vary by instrument. Some of the options described may not be available for a particular instrument. The Function Generator application will only list settings and values that are available for the selected instrument type.
- You can use noise as the modulating waveform shape, but you cannot use noise, pulse, or dc as the carrier waveform.
- If you select an arbitrary waveform as the modulating waveform shape, your function generator may limit the number of waveform point available.
- To select the carrier waveform shape, use the waveform buttons in the waveform configuration panel on the left side of the bench application window. Note that your function generator may limit which waveforms can be used as the carrier waveform.
