Option B7J is a Digital Modulation Demodulation option. An electric attenuator is included in the option.
This adjustment applies only to analyzers equipped with external mixing (Option AYZ).
This adjustment is performed by placing a 321.4 MHz signal of known amplitude into the PSA. The PSA is placed in External Mixing Mode, thus enabling the IF Input port, and the amplitude is measured on the PSA. The difference between the measured amplitude and the known amplitude is called the External IF amplitude error. The PSA system gain is adjusted until the error is zero.
