Frequency Response (Option 110) Performance Test

  • This test is performed only on analyzers with Option 110.
  • If the instrument contains both Option 110 and Option 123, testing is done with the preamplifier On and the preselector Off. There is no hard specification for this test condition. However, the instrument is tested against typical values to assure the calibration file that results from the Option 110 and Option 123 adjustments is correct.

This procedure performs the following steps:

The Preamp is turned on and 0 dB of RF attenuation is set. Amplitude error is measured as a function of frequency from 3 GHz to 6.7 GHz, 13.2 GHz, 26.5 GHz, 43.0 GHz, 44 GHz, or 50 GHz depending on the model. A low power power sensor is required since the DUT input level is -40 dBm to prevent overdriving the preamp.
