This test measures the Third-Order Intercept distortion of the analyzer with a 1 MHz tone separation. An input attenuation of 10 dB is used to match amplitude specification settings.
Two signals are combined using a directional bridge and applied to the analyzer's input. A filter is used on one of the sources to reduce the distortion products from Source A. The sources are set for -6 and -12 dBfs (full-scale) on the analyzer. The analyzer then measures the amplitude of the distortion products relative to Source A.
