Frequency Reference Adjustment

This adjustment requires a minimum warmup time of 24 hours. The DUT must be turned on (that is, not on standby) for the entire warmup period.

The Frequency Reference test verifies that the 10 MHz Frequency Reference is operating within specification. If the frequency exceeds the 6 month drift limit, a recommendation is made in the report to perform the 10 MHz Frequency Reference adjustment.

The source is provided by a frequency standard with an output of 10 MHz. At the RF input to the VSA, the source amplitude must be 0 dBm or less. The internal frequency reference is adjusted to 10 MHz with minimum deviation.
