The second adjustment of the synthesizer calibrates the tuning sensitivity to establish the tuning sensitivity on the synthesizer loop.
A digital multimeter is used to measure the tuning voltages at the ABUS test point. The voltage is measured as the center frequency is stepped to various frequencies, thus causing the local oscillator to vary over a frequency range from 500 MHz to 1 GHz. The frequency settings and the voltage measurements are used to calculate the tuning sensitivity.
