In this test, the source is connected to the RF Input. The source amplitude is measured using a power meter. The source frequency is then stepped across the selected frequency span. The amplitude of the source is kept the same by the power meter. The E4406A VSA amplitude measurements are normalized to the center frequency to determine the maximum peak to peak variation across the span.
