This adjustment performs an open/short/load calibration over the entire range of the tracking generator (10 MHz to 3 GHz for TG3 or N8995A-SR3, or 10 MHz to 6 GHz for TG6 or N8995A-SR6). The resulting correction data is stored in the analyzer’s non-volatile memory for use as the “Factory Calibration” in the One-Port Insertion Loss, Return Loss, and Distance to Fault measurements of the Stimulus Response Measurement Suite, N8995A.
The current calibration file is deleted and the analyzer is rebooted. The analyzer is put into the Stimulus Response mode and the Return Loss measurement is selected. The frequency range is set to the entire frequency range of the tracking generator. An open/short/load calibration is then performed. The analyzer automatically stores the results of this data in non-volatile memory.
This adjustment is only performed on analyzers with the N8995A Stimulus Response Measurement Suite.
