In this adjustment flatness corrections are turned off, and amplitude error versus frequency is measured from 9 kHz to 3.6 GHz. The data is then normalized to 50 MHz to generate corrections relative to 50 MHz. The data is then stored in the analyzer memory.
If the analyzer is outfitted with Option EA3 (Electronic Attenuator), additional test points are generated. The Electronic Attenuator Flatness is corrected with approximately 130 data points from 9 kHz to 3.6 GHz. The corrections points are generated from the adaptive flatness routine. Two different sets of adaptive flatness data are used. One set of data covers 0 dB to 19 dB attenuation, and a different set covers 20 dB to 24 dB attenuation.
