The Attenuator Slope Adjustment should be run prior to running this adjustment. |
The attenuator slope adjustment is a rough flatness adjustment for attenuator settings other than 10 dB. The Total Flatness Correction for any RF Attenuator setting are managed as follows:
Total Flatness Correction = Reference Flatness Correction (generated with 10 dB attenuation) + Attenuator Slope Correction (relative to 10 dB Attenuation) + AC Coupling Correction (if AC Coupling is set)
The Preamp On Flatness adjustment is performed with 10 dB attenuation. The Preamp On Flatness verification is performed with 0 dB RF attenuation. This adjustment is performed at various frequencies for attenuator settings of 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 dB with the Preamp On. The intent is to optimize the 0 dB slope correction for the Preamp On Flatness case. Slope Corrections above 10 dB RF attenuation are the same as the preamp off corrections.
This calibration should only be performed after replacing the RF attenuators or the front end assembly.
