The goal of this calibration is to achieve a power of +3 dBm to the RF input of the sum mixer for given sum loop frequencies. This power is detected by the use of a RF detector at the input to the sum mixer. The adjustment is performed by varying the attenuation value from an adjustable attenuator upstream to get the detected power as close as possible to a targeted detected power which represents +3 dBm.
