Uncorrected System Performance

This topic page applies to all supported ENA models in both the Factory Recommended and the Normal Variant test plans.

This test checks the directivity, source match, load match, transmission tracking, and reflection tracking which are the key S-parameter measurement hardware characteristics.

These characteristics are tested using a calibration kit with segment sweep points for a specified frequency range. After a full two-port (Options 2xx) or a full four-port (Options 4xx) calibration is performed for each test port, the test will output the directivity, source match, reflection tracking, and transmission tracking and load match data to the report. The E5080A ENA requires a special semi-rigid cable for the transmission tracking procedure that will improve the stability of the test result. Refer to the equipment list below.

  1. The DSG (Device Substitution Group) is listed below the equipment description, if applicable. These devices are required to be mapped in TME to execute a test. DSGs require either GPIB communication or are important for dynamic measurement uncertainty calculations. N/A refers to required equipment that is not mapped as DSGs in TME.
  2. Refer to the main Required Test Equipment for a list of alternative models.
