Maximum Leveled Power Troubleshooting

  • Source unlevelled errors are expected as part of the test process. These errors do not indicate a problem with the PNA.

  • Power meters with firmware version A2.03.00 (or A1.03.00) may not operate properly with the new test software. Upgrade the power meter firmware if necessary.

Review the General Troubleshooting recommendations before proceeding with this section.

A failure in this test may indicate a need to correct the source flatness. This is accomplished by performing the Source Calibration Adjustment.

This test only checks port 1. See if the power at port-2 tracks port-1. If there is a difference, troubleshoot the individual paths between the source and the ports. If the maximum power is out of specification at both ports, the source will most likely need to be replaced. Refer to the appropriate PNA service guide for replacement procedures.
