Frequency Reference Accuracy Performance Test

In this procedure, the instrument is turned ON, set to Internal Reference mode, and allowed to warm up for 30 minutes (except for CXA-m with Option PFR is 15 minutes). The frequency of the 10 MHz Reference is measured at the DUT's 10 MHz Out port using a frequency counter which is locked to a primary frequency standard. The measured value is compared to the allowable offset guideline and is included in the Performance Test printout.

  1. Refer to the main equipment list for a list of alternative models (if available).
  2. If using the 10 MHz External Reference, be sure to update the Additional Properties in TME to the correct frequency accuracy in parts per million (ppm). For example, if overall accuracy is 9e-12, the equivalent is 9e-6 ppm. Refer to the Additional Properties section in the TME Help for instructions.
