public abstract uWPath uWPathControl {get; set;} |
The uW Path Control parameter is used to bypass various portions of the signal path at higher frequencies. The Microwave Pre-selector bypass should be selected for measurements when the IF amplitude and phase flatness is the most important signal characteristic, such as for demodulation measurements when the measurement span is greater than a few megahertz.
The settings that are available depend on the analyzer model and option
- Standard: The Microwave Pre-selector is included in the measurement signal path for the high frequency bands.
- Low Noise: Gives a lower noise floor at some frequencies. Option LNP required. The microwave preamplifier (if that option is present) cannot be enabled when using this path and in the high frequency bands.
- Preselector Bypass (Default): The Microwave Pre-selector is not included in the measurement signal path for the high frequency bands. Option MPB required.
- Full Bypass: Bypass the microwave pre-selector and use the low noise path for high frequency bands. This selection is allowed if options LNP and MBP are present. This path is not calibrated unless option FBP is present. The microwave preamplifier (if that option is present) cannot be enabled when using this path and in the high frequency bands. Care should be taken to avoid signal levels that could damage the mixer... see instrument specific data sheets for possible additional information.
