Burst Profiles Tab (802.16 OFDMA)
(
Zone Definition mode only)The DCD downlink channel descriptor: A MAC message that describes the PHY characterstics of a downlink channel. burst profiles mapping when the VSA is set to Auto-detect (from measurement) mode. The tab provides a set of values for DIUC Index = 0 thru 12 and UIUC uplink interval usage code: An interval usage code specific to an uplink. Index = 1 thru 10, specifying a value for the burst profile used (modulation type, coding type and coding rate).
tab provides a manual way to specify theWhen the VSA is set to the
mode, the auto-detection algorithm may not be able to determine the correct data burst modulation type when measuring noisy signals. For these cases, configure the VSA to use manually specified data tone modulation formats. To manually specify the DIUC and UIUC Burst Profiles, select the Definition Source mode on the tab and then specify the burst profile from the DIUC and UIUC Index drop-down boxes. The burst profile information is not saved in the Map File (.omf), it is saved in the setup file (.set).
For a normal UL Up Link (reverse link: from cell phone to base station)-MAP to be decoded successfully, the DIUC index burst profile corresponding to the first burst IE in the DL-MAP downlink map: A MAC message that defines burst start time for both time division multiplex and time division multiple access (TDMA) by a subscriber station (SS) on the downlink. must be correctly specified on this tab.
