RMS Error Vector Time (802.16 OFDMA)

RMS Error Vector Time is the difference between IQ Meas and IQ Ref, which would have a complex value, at each subcarrier at each symbol-time. The RMS Error Vector Time is the RMS average of the error vector values for each symbol-time for all of the used subcarriers. The result is a time trace, which shows the average error vector magnitude at each symbol-time.

The "ss" number in the "xRMS:ss" trace data label specifies the number of subcarrier symbols included in the RMS average EVM Error vector magnitude (EVM): A quality metric in digital communication systems. See the EVM metric in the Error Summary Table topic in each demodulator for more information on how EVM is calculated for that modulation format..
