Phase Metrics (Advanced Radar)
Menu Path:
This topic describes the Phase metrics displayed in the Pulse Table.
-
-
Phase Mean in deg, reports the mean phase value measured over the user specified sample analysis time interval as determined by Use Same Data as Frequency/Phase Analysis checkbox property.
-
When Use Same Data as Frequency/Phase Analysis checkbox is enabled, Phase Mean (deg) measurement sample time window location and length is determined by the user-specified offset From Pulse Top Start and offset From Pulse Top End properties. The offset from pulse top start and offset from pulse top end must be specified separately for the following pulse modulations: CW/LFM, TFM, and Barker.
-
When Use Same Data as Frequency/Phase Analysis checkbox is disabled, Phase Mean (deg) measurement sample time window location and length is determined by the user-specified Pulse-to-Pulse analysis offset From Pulse Top Start and offset From Pulse Top End properties.
-
Default visibility: ON
-
-
-
Phase Pulse-Pulse Diff in deg, reports the mean phase pulse-to-pulse difference value relative to the first valid detected pulse (Pulse 1) measured over the user specified sample analysis time interval as determined by Use Same Data as Frequency/Phase Analysis checkbox property. The value shown for the 1st pulse is 0 degrees.
-
When Use Same Data as Frequency/Phase Analysis checkbox is enabled, Phase Pulse-Pulse Diff in deg measurement sample time window location and length is determined by the user-specified offset From Pulse Top Start and offset From Pulse Top End properties. The offset from pulse top start and offset from pulse top end must be specified separately for the following pulse modulations: CW/LFM, TFM, and Barker.
-
When Use Same Data as Frequency/Phase Analysis checkbox is disabled, Phase Pulse-Pulse Diff in deg measurement sample time window location and length is determined by the user-specified Pulse-to-Pulse analysis offset From Pulse Top Start and offset From Pulse Top End properties.
-
Default visibility: OFF
-
-
-
Phase Peak-to-Peak Dev in deg, reports the peak to peak phase deviation measured over user specified sample analysis time interval as determined by the Pulse-to-Pulse analysis offset From Pulse Top Start and offset From Pulse Top End properties.
-
Default visibility: OFF
-
-
-
Phase Error RMS in deg, reports the root-mean-square phase error difference between Phase Meas Time trace and Phase Ref Time trace measured over user specified sample analysis time interval as determined by the offset From Pulse Top Start and offset From Pulse Top End properties.
-
Default visibility: ON
-
-
-
Phase Error Peak in deg, reports the absolute maximum phase error difference between Phase Meas Time trace and Phase Ref Time trace measured over user specified sample analysis time interval as determined by the offset From Pulse Top Start and offset From Pulse Top End properties.
-
Default visibility: ON
-
-
-
Phase Error Peak Loc in seconds, reports the time location offset from start user specified sample analysis time interval (as determined by the offset From Pulse Top Start and offset From Pulse Top End properties) to the Phase Error Peak (deg) occurrence.
-
Default visibility: OFF
