CCDF (cdma2000/1xEV-DV)

CCDF shows the complementary cumulative distribution function of the signal for the data in the Measurement Interval. From the CCDF Complementary Cumulative Distribution Function, the probability that the power of a random data sample (x) is greater than K dB above the average power of the signal can be determined.

CCDF(K) = Probability(x ³ K)

This trace can be useful in designing an amplifier for a particular type of signal. For example, for a signal with the average power set at -10 dBm deciBels referenced to a milliWatt: dB relative to 1 milliwatt dissipated in the nominal input impedance of the analyzer and an amplifier that saturates at -9 dBm, you can find out what percentage of the time that the signal will be 1 dB above the average (which is the percentage of time that the amplifier will saturate) by placing a marker on the CCDF trace at 1 dB.

This trace will continue to accumulate data until the measurement is restarted.
